This month is flying by… Flying. It has been a beautiful month here in Washington ad I have been busy enjoying the summer and taking the time to create as much as I can while school is off for the summer.
Today is Pep Rally and Kit Reveal Day. I know there will be lots of talent and creativity being shared on social media. Use the hashtags #click_connect_create and #ckpeprally and share or look at all the amazing July Pool Party projects.
Also here is a list of the known Clique Kits Design Team Members and Kit Subscribers who are joining in for the social media Hop.
Check out their Instagram
accounts and see what they made this month with their July Kits.
Now for the fun part where I get to show you what I made.
I am using the Main July Pool Party Kit
. It features Elle’s Studio Live.Laugh.Love Collection. Really Bright and Colorful, I really wanted to highlight that.
Here are some close ups and see all the goodness,
I decided that I wanted to use the labels from the branding strip. I color matched them with this stripped pattern paper. I popped them up on dimensional foam to add interest.
I used plain white card stock so that I could add media on the background and have it work with all the colors from the July Main Kit.
I used multiple photos on this layout. My photos were also really bright. Using the white background really made all the color pop. This photo of a parrot fish is so cool. These pictures were taken at our local Zoo.
I created a cut file with my own brush script and scanned it into my computer. It is really easy and really fun. This title is perfect and created specially for this layout. “One Man’s Trash is another’s Art.”
This trash was taken right from Puget Sound and collected, then sorted and used to create these really cool and huge sculptures of the zoo’s wildlife. See my kid’s standing under the big Puffin. That is my kid’s favorite zoo animal. I used a pen to doodle sketch faux stitching lines outlining the cut file. I also colored around the cut file with different colored markers to match the colors near them.
This blue marker looks really cool with the blue water color peeking from under the photo’s edges.
I made sure to use puffy stickers and enamel dots in the same color area. I really wanted a look almost similar to how Irit Landgraf gets on her layouts.
I finished off with Black color shine drops to make the color pop more. This layout is one of my favorites this summer. I love how the story and the photos, and the collection really work together to document my own story.
Here is one final look at this layout.
I have a scrapbooking process video where you can watch me create this layout.
Have an excellent day and enjoy the rest of the week my scrappy friends!!
